A Month of Sundays
By Bob Larbey

14-16, 20-23 June 2018 at 7.30pm

Matinée 23 June at 2.30pm

On the first Sunday of every month, John Cooper’s daughter and son-in-law come to see him. The visits are seldom a success. Cooper’s conversation tends towards jokes about ageing and senility, their talk revolves around their challenging journey. The grandson has stopped visiting.

Bob Larbey’s first stage play, which followed huge acclaim for his TV series ‘The Good Life’ and ‘A Fine Romance’, is gentle and perceptive. Living in a retirement home, Cooper is becoming physically frail and Aylott is losing his memory. However, the two men find solace in each other’s company, and face their waning years with heroic good humour.
