Matinée 13 May at 2.30pm

The date didn’t go well so he is going all out to make the second better, not just better but the best - no expense spared. Crystal has aspirations but Eddie doesn’t have much of an imagination and he doesn’t have much in the way of expenses to spare.

Travelling stationery salesman, Eddie, and Crystal, the bingo caller, are having a weekend away... in Blackpool ... out of season ... and it is raining ...

Robert Farquhar’s play is warm and humane, bringing together two desperately lonely people who reach out for comfort and attempt to salvage something, anything, out of the situation in which they find themselves.
